Join the Spanish Language Immersion Program

Designed to provide students the opportunity to experience full cultural and linguistic immersion, this program has three main components. For more information about any of the components, click the highlighted word.

1. Students master the Spanish language through intensive linguistic training.

2. Students study Spanish culture through Mosaic's cultural workshops.

3. Students experience full cultural and linguistic immersion by living in homestays with Spanish families.

In order to understand one another, we must first be able to communicate through a common language. Mosaic therefore seeks to equip its students with the linguistic fluency needed to converse with citizens of other nations and cultures As the second most commonly spoken language in the world, command of the Spanish language enables students to relate to nearly 500 million Spanish speakers worldwide.

To allow students not just to interact with Spaniards, but to truly understand them, Mosaic offers a full immersion program. Program participants study the Spanish language and culture in a formal, academic setting while living in homestays with Spanish families. Through the relationships they develop with their Spanish hosts, students gain genuine linguistic proficiency, cultural competence and life-long friendships.

The program is from Thursday, May 27 to Sunday, June 27.

Costs: $1,950

The program includes the following:

• 80 hours of total overseas instruction
• Homestay, two meals per day

• Field trips and excursions

• Cultural activities

• Entrance fees to museums

• Airport transfers

• Orientation

• Welcome & farewell dinners

Note: Airfare from the U.S. to Madrid and medical insurance not included in the program fee.
