Join the Mosaic Social Justice Summer

the program

Designed to help Americans promote peace and justice, this program has three main components.  For more information about any of the components, click the highlighted phrases:

1. Students volunteer in an NGO or non-profit organization in Madrid, Spain.

2. Students improve their Spanish through intensive linguistic training.

3. Students explore inequality and social entrepreneurialism in Southern Europe and North Africa through the Mosaic Social Justice Seminar.

The struggle for social justice and the promotion of international understanding are directly interrelated

Inequity is not a uniquely American problem; it is a global phenomenon, present in every nation on earth. Fighting for equality in a foreign country provides emerging social entrepreneurs with far greater perspective. One gains both an enhanced comprehension of the myriad causes of injustice, as well as exposure to diverse efforts being employed internationally to combat it.

By joining international activists in their fight for equality, we also promote awareness of those common, human values that unite people of all nationalities: a belief in equality, a commitment to compassion, and the desire to leave the world a little bit better than we found it.

Aiding others in their struggle for justice, dignity and equality is the most powerful gesture of goodwill one can make.
